Release notes - July 2021
Summary
Release 21.7 includes a new WiFi vendor - Aruba AirWave, an option to not send alerts for APs when a WiFi controller is not contactable and other enhancements
Aruba AirWave WiFi now supported BETA

WiFi support now available for Aruba AirWave devices in addition to Aerohive, Aruba Instant On, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus and Ubiquiti. Please contact us if you would like to use this new feature.

Stop excess WiFi alerts

Previously, if the Highlight agent lost contact with a WiFi controller and an alert had been configured, each AP would alert. This could occasionally result in thousands of alerts for the same event.
In 21.7, WiFi controllers now have the option to stop alerts on APs when the controller is uncontactable. If this option is selected and the controller is uncontactable, blue blips still appear on the Availability line of the Access Point Health chart (as shown in the image above) but no alerts are sent and the chart side bar, access point strip chart and associated heat tile no longer change to amber or red.

Find out more about stopping alerts when access points lose contact with their controller.
Alert log CSV download option

You can now download the Alert log information to a CSV file which is filtered to reflect your folder or location, date range and search filters. The CSV file is limited to 100,000 rows and does not include the alert contents.

Other changes
Hybrid WAN balance chart order and colours now consistent
When clicking a location tile with two or three Hybrid WAN links, a balance chart showing the split of traffic on the routes for the last four hours appears above the strip charts for the location. The description for each bearer is shown or alternatively the watch name is shown. Hybrid WAN links are shown in alphabetical order by description (if available) so Primary, Secondary and Tertiary circuits show in order with consistent colours.
- Primary (pink)
- Secondary (soft purple)
- Tertiary (teal)
Traffic in Traffic out You can toggle the chart to show traffic in or out from the location.

Containers: Search on device address now available
A container is a flexible grouping of watches. Any watches available under the container's position in the tree can be added. Once created, a container can be:
- Displayed as a service tile
- The basis of a report
- Set for recurring or one-off maintenance

In 21.7, you can now search on device address (IP address or hostname) to find watches faster.

Alerts: Include Port Interface Name and Description in alerts on critical switch ports

In 21.7, critical port alerts can now include the switch port interface name and description.

Strip charts - performance target shown above chart
Previously strip charts for performance tests showed the source above the graph. For some locations, this made it difficult to differentiate one test from another if they all had the same source. In 21.7, the target is now shown above the graph.
Graph Details
To see both target and source, toggle Graph to Details to hide the graph and view additional text.
Fully launched features

Following our Beta release of Cellular Clarity, several Highlight partners have now used the clear graphical information, timely alerts when signal strength drops below threshold and historic reporting of signal strength information. The feature is now fully launched and further enhancements are planned.
