1. New heat tiles

   We've refreshed the look of our heat tiles in line with the rest of Highlight.

   

   

   • The additional metric of load has been added to service tiles.
   • The number of issues is now displayed in an amber or red warning triangle and has been added to location tiles also.
   • Location tiles now consistently show the location name in the top colour bar and the folder name below that regardless of the selected folder in Network Explorer.

2. Resize heat tiles

   

   Both service and location tiles are now fully resizable between 100 and 400 pixels wide. This means you can set your display to optimise the number of tiles shown. Service tiles default to 185 pixels wide, location tiles default to 150 pixels wide. The setting will be remembered when you next log in.

3. Strip chart view

   In response to requests from users, we've made a number of usability improvements to strip chart functionality.

   

   • Only with issues: It's now possible to show only strip charts with issues which should make investigating problems faster and easier.
   • Strip charts start from today and show the most recent 7 days rather than a fixed period.
   • When clicking on a strip chart, it's possible to choose either View Today to see current activity or jump back to the date you last selected on the Detail page.
   • To preserve the context of your work, the folder or location you selected in Network Explorer remains selected when you click on a strip chart, rather than jumping down to that location.

4. Heat tile summary

   

   A summary of heat tiles in each state (red, amber and green) is displayed in the panel header at all times. This summary changes according to any filters or options which have been applied (Group by folder, Only with issues, Arrange by duration, etc.).

5. Device IP Address available in Network Reporting

   Device IP addresses are now available in reporting on all report types to enable better tracking.

   

6. Switch support extended to H3Cw

   Highlight now supports H3C switches in addition to Cisco, HP (Procurve), Juniper and Extreme.

• A circuit added to Pending as ADSL Max now retains this setting throughout activation.
• The class of service bandwidth percentage is now calculated against the tier bandwidth setting, rather than against the bearer.
• Technical test from Pending area is now working if legacy proxy used.
• Bandwidth presentation of T1 is now accurately shown as 1.544 Mb instead of 1.5Mb.
• The My Details dialog from the User menu no longer requests the user's country and saves correctly.

Notice: End of support for Internet Explorer versions

As notified in previous release notes, from January 2016, Microsoft will stop supporting Internet Explorer Versions 9 & 10. To reflect this, the next major release of Highlight (due Q1 2016) will no longer support these browsers.
