Active heat tile marker
Visual marker showing your selected heat tile
1. AppVis enhancements
AppVis now shows applications by traffic class and DSCP name. You can view application data by selected time period (day, week, month, quarter or year). Read more about AppVis.
3. Active heat tile marker
The active heat tile now shows with a marker. This marker is maintained when you navigate away from the heat tiles page. When you return to heat tiles, the strip chart panel for the active tile is open. It can also be used to toggle the strip charts on and off.
4. Huawei Class of Service supported
We now support Class of Service monitoring for Huawei devices, in addition to our support for Juniper and Cisco devices.
5. Email alerts can include a site links count
If site links have been configured, an additional option for bearers which can be included in an email alert template is "SiteLinksUp : N" where N is the number of site links available. If this shows "SiteLinksUp : 0" then all the links for a given site are down.
Read more about site availability.
Other changes
- Name on service tile: this was previously limited to 15 characters but now 100 are allowed
- Date navigation: when selecting "today" on the Details page, you will now see tomorrow's date if any time zone in the world is already in tomorrow's date. This enables you to view data which could not previously be easily seen. Today (in your time zone) has a blue indicator, with tomorrow's date showing to the right.
Highlight API
We believe that simplifying and accelerating the day-to-day, operational tasks around Highlight is key to the continued success of our service. So we are putting increased development effort into providing automation support of these critical tasks. Automation via an API will allow partners to integrate Highlight into their service layers, particularly allowing the automated provisioning and updating of new watches as you onboard customer circuits and devices.
If you are interested in learning more please reach out to your Highlight account manager for more detailed information.
Bug fixes
- Alerts on Favourites: New alerts on favourites can only be sent to your own email address as shown in your Highlight user account and cannot be changed; any existing alerts will remain as they are
- Reports on large folders: Highlight can now run reports without error on folders containing many thousands of watches
- Spurious comma in email list: Highlight now handles extra commas in an alert email list without error which previously stopped an alert being sent
